Bobby Fischer

Bobby Fischer - the chess legend. It was a shock for me that he is no more. He died on 17Th Jan 2008. He was perhaps the best player in the history. And he was definitely the one in his prime. When you play with bobby you don't think to win or loose you just think to survive. Most of the grandmaster learn to play chess by watching his game. When it comes to sacrifice the queen(The strongest piece on the board) and then converting it to win - there comes fischer. None of the grandmaster has that much dare. I saw a game in which Morphey did the same, anyway.
His IQ was more than even Einstein. If Einstein and Fischer play chess, Fischer will beat him in less than 30 moves. But Fischer cannot think about atoms and quantum physics and maths. IQ has different use. Most of grandmaster play the game then they forget the moves. That's not the case with Fischer. Fischer was able to recollect the game move by move played 15 years back. He was the first American to win the world chess championship beating Boris Spassky in 1972. After becoming world champion Fischer vanished and denied to play with Karpov and lost his title. We missed the match between Garry Kasparov and Bobby. This match would have been the match of the century. Kasparov is good in Initial openings where as bobby is excellent in the middle game. Bobby doesn't use open book moves. He didn't have any formal chess training etc. He had natural talent of chess. Other grandmaster learn, train and then play.
