Maintaining an IP log

I am also maintaining an IP log. I am storing visitor's IP address just to know the distinct traffic my blog gets. I declare, I would not use these IPs for any unsolicited purpose. However, my blog gets least amount of traffic as compared to those I visit often. Lol.
