My Vaishali Visit

Got a chance to visit Vaishali. Vaishali is an adjacent district of Muzaffarpur. Vaishali has many historical importances. Lichhavi republic in Vaishali was the first republic state of the world. Even the city of Nazareth is not as glorious as Vaishali. Vaishali is blessed by two superhuman – Mahavir and Buddha. Nazareth only has Jesus. According to me 500 BC to 0 BC was the golden era of human civilization. This era produced three known superhuman – Mahavir, Buddha and Jesus. The word known is important here. There were many superhuman about them we have no idea. Coz, they didn’t come forward. They kept the knowledge with themselves. We know only those who came forward. Many of the saints remained in the forest. But some of them came to society like Jesus, Buddha and Mahavir.

I had pre-planned to visit Vaishali. I reached my friend Prasoon’s house at 7:30am. We left for Vaishali at 8:00am. Since it was first time visit to Vaishali, we didn’t have idea of all the routes. So, we decided to take default route that is via Hajipur. From Hajipur took auto to reach LalGanj. Then from LalGanj took a mini bus to reach Vaishali village where Vishwa Shanti Stupa is located. We also hired a rikshaw. Rikshaw puller told us many things about Vaishali and Buddha etc. There are four golden statue of Buddha depecting his four states of life. Like enlightenment, sermon, mahaparinirvana etc. Buddha used to stay at this place in rainy season and used to give his sermon. I meditated for approx 20 mins in front of the statue depecting his enlightenment. This was a fine meditation. Meditation at such place is very effective. I wanted to meditate more but my friend was feeling hungry. Lol. So we left and had and had Samosa being sold at a small shop outside Shanti Stupa. There is also a big pond beside Shanti Stupa. In certain season you can also enjoy boating. There were not much people yesterday. There is a huge crowd in Buddha Purnima. There are also Baudh-Math made by Sri Lanka and Vietnam there.

Then we hired same Riskshaw puller to go Kalhua. In Kalhua there is Ashok – Stambh where Lord Buddha gave his last sermon. It is 3 KM from Shanti Stupa. Now this place is fine. I would recommend you to visit this place. Worth visitable. The stambh is almost 18 m high made of single stone. On the top of that there is a lion. This was made by Emperor Ashoka. There is also a small pond in the south of the pillar. There is also a stupa in which Anand’s ash is kept. Many foreigners come here to worship it. Initially we had no idea so we started walking on the stupa. Then one person said us not to walk on it. Lol. In fact I wanted to ride on the top of stupa. Lol There are any excavated brick structures which I suspected was kind of Math. Garden there is well maintained.

We had become tired of journey so took some rest just at the root of Ashoka Piller. I was thinking this is the place where Buddha kept his lotus feet. How lucky I am to visit this place. One interesting thing was Kalhua is part of Muzaffarpur. But people know it as part of Vaishali. Because, Vishwa Shanti Stupa is in Viahsali. And both places have immense importance in Buddhism.

Across the day, we couldn’t have any formal lunch. This time we took the shorter route and reached Muzaffarpur by 7pm.

This was a memorable visit. My next tour will be city of Nazareth, Jerusalem, Galilee, and Jordan River.

Tourist Places in Bihar

I will be in Muzaffarpur on 18Th March. I am planning to visit tourist places in Bihar. Like - Vaishali, Bodhgaya, Rajgir etc. Never got a chance to visit any of tourist place in Bihar. Vaishali is nearest to muzaffarpur. Vaishali is the center of Buddhism and Jainism. Vaishali is blessed by two superhuman - Mahavira and Buddha. Even city of Nazareth doesn't has this much glory as Vaishali. Nazareth only has Jesus. Vaishali has Buddha and Mahavira. Ganga is as glorious as Jordan river. Jesus went to Jordan river, John baptize him and said he is son of god. Ganga also have many stories associated with it. I have no intention to generate any socio-religio conflict. I am thinking - Bihar being the birth place of two great theology - Buddhism and Jainism why they don't have much influence there? Is it that Bihar inherently is Vedic society. These two persons were enough to eradicate any any vedic propaganda. The reason I think is their philosophy was not properly spreaded in India. For some reason I found Mahavira as the greatest person ever born. Mahavir was absolutely free. There was not even single bit of contamination in him. The reason why Jain theology could not spread much is because of their purity. Mahavir was so pure that he didn't even need clothes. Buddha used to wear one clothe wrapped upto his shoulder. Mahavir didn't. For him clothes makes no sense. However Buddha's path was middle path. Bdddha considered nakedness as extreme. Thats why he didn't encourage nakedness. Mahavir was absolutely free. He knows know boundaries. He knows no extreme. He doesn't know middle path or side path. He is absolutely free. Clothes or no clothes make no sense to him. He is perfectly pure. And it's difficult to appreciate 100% pure thing. You need at least some contamination to appreciate things. 100% pure gold is of no use. Some amount of contamination is required to make it useful. Right? Anything 100% pure is of no use. Whole semiconductor industry works on impurity. We dope silicon with impurity. Amount of impuruty is very less, but it's there. A pure silicon cannot do anything. But when you dope it, then it can make quadcore. That's the importance of impurity. Anything entirely pure cannot be creative. Some trace of impurity has to be there to remain creative.
Anyways, philosophy aprt. If you have knwoledge of tourist places in Bihar please let me know.
Like how to reach there, hotels, food, prices etc.

The first and the last

For anything first and last is kind of special. Particularly special. Lets understand this in terms of life. Birth is the first thing of the life - the very first breath. Which you don't remember. Death is the last thing of the life - the last breath. Which hasn't come. Life exists between these two breath. Indian yogic system gives too much stress on breath. Even in Buddhism breath is immensely important. In Christianity it's not that important. Because Christianity is primarily based on the prayers. On the pope. On the priest. On the father. Father will pray for you, then only you can go to kingdom of God. But, essentially this is not the case in Hinduism. That's why Hinduism has produced great meditators. Hinduism give you more freedom. But some people do not like it. There are reason behind this. A temple priest wont like to see you meditating. Ask why? Because, when you meditate you are trying to connect yourself with infinite. You are trying to contact God directly. You are bypassing the channels made by others. Made by priest, Pope, Muhammad. So, these people get frightened with that. Your meditation questions on their existence. Because, in meditation what you are doing is, you are simply bypassing them. And they don't like it. They want you to follow their paths, their rules. So that, their paths and rules remain always active. And this is what happened in the almost every religion excluding some sects of Hinduism.

Birth is important. Someone taking birth at midnight, and someone taking at midday will make a difference. Best time to take a birth should be in the morning around 8-9-10 am. That time nature is charge with freshly awaken people. Everybody is fresh, enthusiastic about the day. Everybody is optimistic. So all these positive environment will affect the kid positively. And the reverse is true in the night. There are many other factors as well. An astrologer would know it better. Lol. Few moments before the death is also special. Person's behaviour is unpredictable. Unpredictable in the sense that he is just about to die. He feels rejuvenated just before death. Death of enlightened person will be even more special. Yoga students in hiamalayan region are taught to watch the death of yogis. You will find them totally abnormal just before death. Because his life force is at the peak. In just a few minute it will be mearged into infinite. His entire life force gears up to take the final flight. It's like just few seconds before an air plane takes off. There are various ways Pran can exit out of the body. Yogi's Pran will exit out of crown of the head. Also called Sahasrar. And it is said, if it exits from the crown of the head. You are done!! Your rebirth won't happen again. You are freed, liberated. Else you will again take birth. And again life will start...you will again learn A B C D...Lol :)
